How It Started
Jones’N Java started around our kitchen table. Our middle son, Jonathan, was the one who planted the seed. He pointed out that our last name is Jones—and that people “jones” for things they love. Coffee included. So naturally, people are Jones’N for Java. That simple idea stuck with us.
As we began preparing to open, we started asking questions about coffee—and what we discovered surprised us.
What We Learned About Coffee
We learned that much of the coffee people drink every day is roasted long before it reaches their cup. Beans sit on shelves for months, lose their flavor, and are often over-processed to mask poor quality. In many cases, the people who grow the coffee aren’t treated or paid fairly.
We knew there had to be a better way. So we committed to doing coffee differently—focusing on quality, freshness, and integrity from the start.

At Jones’N Java, we roast to order. No warehouses. No shortcuts.
We use specialty-grade coffee, (Learn what specialty-grade means)ethically sourced from farmers who are paid fairly, and roast it after you place your order so it arrives fresh and full of flavor. We believe coffee should be something people genuinely enjoy—not just tolerate.
A Vision Bigger Than Coffee
As we prepared to open Jones’N Java, our vision became even clearer. Our youngest son, Jotham, has autism. Through our journey with him, we’ve seen how difficult it can be for individuals with autism to find meaningful work—and how powerful it is when they’re given the right support and opportunity.
We dream of building a place where people with autism and other disabilities can work, grow, and experience independence to whatever degree that looks like for them. A place where great coffee comes first—and where grace, patience, and understanding are part of the culture. Whether that means navigating a hard day, a moment of awkwardness, or a meltdown, we believe people deserve dignity, opportunity, and belonging.

We believe God is guiding this journey—shaping how we treat people, how we do business, and how we pursue a mission bigger than ourselves.
